Transitional Cabinetry is blend of two traditional and contemporary. It's a balanced act, mixing features of these two styles makes designing more flexible.
Maybe you are not too fond the traditional cabinets but contemporary is not your style either. Transitional cabinets will probably be something that will get your eyes sparkling. It is warm, inviting without being heavy and imposing.
Cabinets will have clean lines, fewer details often flat panel, however we also see raised panel doors that are transitional style.
When choosing door styles, pay close attention to the door profile, notice the different grooves and details. A basic shaker (called WAVERLY in the picture bellow) has a square edge profile, compare to the other doors to see the difference.
In the pictures bellow, we are showing door samples in unfinished door styles, these doors can be finished in any color.
These are a few samples of Transitional Door Style.
We often think of a shaker door, but there are so many variations of this cabinetry, it's worth taking a look at the different details.
The doors bellow are from WELLBORN FOREST, you can find more about them here.
Woodland Cabinetry has beautiful door styles, and their finish is excellent quality. All of these door styles can be done in any color of your choice.
Take a look bellow, the kitchen on the right has nitrate details, raised panel, detailed molding.
The kitchen in the middle has fewer details, more straight lines.
Finally the kitchen on the right has very few lines, the doors are slabs, plain.
Can you tell the difference?
